The Challenges
-Security Vulnerabilities:Audits revealed nearly 1,000 scanned items,with 30%containing vulnerabilities—exposing the exchange to cyber threats.
-Lack of Support:EOS status meant no vendor updates,spare parts,or expansion capabilities,risking downtime during peak trading hours.
-Integration Gaps:The system couldn’t connect with modern tools like CRM or AI-driven analytics,hindering operational efficiency.
The Redstone Solution
SSE deployed Redstone’s NewLync 2.0,a domestically innovated platform,using a dual-network strategy to minimize downtime:
-Parallel Integration:NewLync 2.0 ran alongside the legacy system during migration,ensuring uninterrupted calls between the Zhuyuan building(2,800 extensions)and Jinqiao tech center(400 extensions).
-Security Overhaul:Encrypted signaling(TLS 1.3)and SRTP voice streams eliminated vulnerabilities,while role-based access controls strengthened data protection.
-Seamless Compatibility:Existing IP phones(Huawei,Fanvil,Yealink)registered with NewLync 2.0,preserving hardware investments.
-High Availability:Active-active deployment with 5-second failover ensured 99.99%uptime—critical for uninterrupted trading communications.
The upgrade not only resolved security risks but also positioned SSE for future innovation,with open APIs enabling integration with advanced tools like real-time trade analytics.
